Certified Permaculture Designer, Robert Segundo has applied Permaculture principals to his own edible yard and instructed countless others to do the same. Segundo was invited to speak at the prestigious Tuskegee University in Alabama to enlighten students to Permaculture design techniques. He has been an adviser to many school and community garden projects.
Robert Segundo has been a life-long subsistence farmer. Born and raised in Mississippi his family ate food derived from their garden. In 2004, he moved to Pinellas County, Florida to discover a new landscape and environment unlike that of his upbringing. In 2007 he discovered Permaculture and became immersed in Permaculture research. He began his own garden implementing the knowledge he had discovered.
In 2009, Robert was certified as Permaculture Designer by The
Permaculture Institute of Australia through Illinois-based instructor Wayne Wiseman. Since then, Robert and his business partner Matt Fahy founded Fire of Hope, LLC in 2009. Fire of Hope offers edible landscape consultation, design and installation of Permaculture landscapes for homes, organizations, schools and CSAs.
For more than ten years Robert enjoyed a successful career as a Graphic/3D-Designer. He is able to utilize his creative and technical talents to manifest three-dimensional digital landscape designs for individuals, groups, and businesses interested in implementing an edible landscape.
